Diagnostic Services
Laboratory

Our Lab performs more than 120 separate tests, and more than 160,000 total tests each year.  State-of-the-art technology enables us to provide comprehensive on-site services.  Screenings for various types of cancer, diabetes and blood cholesterol levels are routinely performed by our Lab, which is staffed by a Certified Phlebotomist and a team of highly-qualified technologists.  Your test results may be sent direct to you, your personal physician, consulting pathologist and other specialists, as appropriate.  An auto-fax system ensures timely delivery of lab reports to your treatment team -- usually in 24 hours or less.

Certain sophisticated tests which cannot be performed in our lab are directed to special service labs overnight.  Reports on these tests are transmitted directly back to our lab via computer, then on to your doctor.  This entire process is completed in a 24- to 48-hour time period.
Radiology

Our Radiology team provides a number of diagnostic services, including X-rays, CT scans, nuclear scans, ultrasounds and echocardiograms.  These advanced technologies can provide detailed diagnostic images and noninvasive monitoring of almost any body system or organ. .Low-dose diagnostic and screening mammography, by Certified Mammography Technologists, also is available.  Our Mammography Department is certified by the American College of Radiology.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is an available technology that produces super-sharp, detailed images of the internal anatomy, utilizing a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a specialized computer.  It is especially useful for obtaining high-quality images of soft tissues -- such as the brain, cardiovascular system and other vital organs -- without the use of radiation.  The procedure is safe and painless, and the “open” design of our MRI helps patients to avoid the feeling of claustrophobia sometimes associated with older-style MRI units.

An experienced, Board-certified Radiologist reads all X-rays and scans.  Routine X-rays and other tests can be done on request of your out-of-town physician and the
